Hold Your Man (1933)
"Anita Loos wrote Hold You Man with Clark Gable, Jean Harlow and the box-office in mind, and it was a perfect fit. The story about his crook and his moll wasnm’t much, but the author of ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blondes’ salted its emotional conflict with what were then known as wisecrack, and Miss Harlow in particular showed a talent for delivering them with maximum zip. Bernard Hyman produced and Sam Wood directed smartly, with a cast including Dorothy Burgess, Guy Kibbee, Stuart Erwin and Elizabeth Patterson.”
